The AV Extreme is an incredibly lightweight jacket that provides the ultimate in warmth and protection from the elements. Utilizing three independent layers, the wind and waterproof AV Extreme is designed to keep you comfortable in extreme cold and inclement weather and during high intensity training allowing maximum breathability. When riding at a lower intensity it can be combined with an appropriate base layer and/or jersey to extend its usability. 

The external shell of the AV Extreme Jacket uses eVent® DV AlpineTM, a wind and waterproof membrane featuring eVent’s Direct VentingTM technology. Specifically engineered to keep you in the ‘dry zone’, a steady state of core temperature and humidity, DV AlpineTM controls the wild swings your body goes through to stay in balance during hard efforts in extreme conditions. 

The Polartec® Alpha 60 mid layer, originally developed for the U.S. Special Forces, provides superior heat retention and moisture management while the innermost layer supports the outer layers and pulls moisture away from the body.

Features:

• DWR TreatmentThe entire outer surface of the jacket receives a DWR treatment which adds an extra layer of water resistance to the garment. The treatment creates additional surface tension, suspending water beads to the outer fringe of the garment where it rolls off before having the opportunity to penetrate the fabric.
• Breathable MembraneThe outer layer of eVent® DV AlpineTM fabric is 100% breathable, waterproof and wind resistant due to the internal membrane that creates an impermeable barrier against the elements. eVent’s Direct VentingTM technology allows vapor to escape facilitating Core Temperature management by preventing overheating.
• Heat RetentionThe mid-layer throughout the entire jacket is Alpha 60TM, a highly breathable micro fleece originally developed for the U.S. Special Forces, with heat retaining fibers. This allows the jacket to use the rider’s body heat to create an insulating pocket of air to help maintain optimal core temperature.
• Winter MeshThe innermost layer of the jacket is a mesh that works to support the outer layers. It pulls moisture away from the body where it can escape through the breathable outer layers.
• VisibilityReflective accents created via a revolutionary new refractive fabric, Pixel®, provides reflectivity without sacrificing the breathable qualities of the fabric.

Race Fit

We classify this jersey as "Race Fit". They are built to sit next to your skin for a tight aero fit. If you prefer to have a little room we suggest buying the next size up.

Sport Fit

If you can picture your favorite oversized t-shirt, you’re well on your way to knowing what a sport fit is. Sport fit describes a a fit that is loose-fitting and relaxed. Great for riding around town in a style that’s going to give you more than enough room to move around on or off the bike. If sport fit descibes how you want your jersey to fit, you should order atleast 1 size larger than the sizing chart recommends.

Pro Fit

If you’re comfortable in a slightly more tailored look, then the Pro fit is probably the fit you’re looking for. More fitted to the body than the Sport fit, the Pro fit is going to begin to give you some of the performance features of a higher-end jersey, but it’s still going to offer some room to breath. If pro fit describes how you want your jersey to fit, the size recommended by the sizing chart should provide the fit you prefer.

A "race fit" is very form fitting in order to offer you the benefit of aerodynamic riding and ofter muscular support. A race fit feels the tightest of the three cuts we classify. If you want your jersey to have a race fit, and you are on the lowend of a size described by the size chart, you should consider ordering a size down.
