These Bib Shorts are brand new for 2010.  George gives design input for Hincapies products and prefers his shorts to be long.  Hincapie incorporates his suggestions and preferences into their designs.  When Hincapie received their shipment of these for 2010 the shorts were running about 1 inch shorter than their standard length.  Their current length is on par with many other companies but not the longer ones some have come to expect from Hincapie.  The gripper on these shorts is made from a double layer of Power Lycra and combined with the compresssion qualites of the Resistex Carbon panels as well as the Power Lycra side panels and abrasion-resistant panels in the saddle area do a great job holding these shorts in place.  The Lycra gripper does ride a little off from parallel to the ground on the inside of the leg.  For these reasons Classic Cycling has been able to acquire their inventory for these and will be your only source for them on the Internet. We have been riding these shorts for a few weeks now at Classic Cycling and have nothing but praise for them as well as many compliments from fellow cyclist.  Our only critique of these shorts is they use a welded seam on the outside panels and the first ride out of the bag we could feel the seam on our hip.  After one wash this seam was softer and we could no longer feel it.  Due to these variances from Hincapie's typical cuts and lengths we able to offer these shorts at 40% off the retail price of $229.00

A note about sizing : Sizing is not an issue on these shorts.  I personally wear a medium in Hincapie shorts as well as Giordana and I also wear a medium in these particular shorts.  With that said some customers that are unfamilar with this brand have opted to go down one size.  Based on this feed back and my experience with these shorts I feel they run true to size but if you are on the small size of a size you might consider going down one size.  For example Hincapie sizing for a medium is 30-32 while large is 32-34.  If you size at 32 I would consider going down to the medium.  I can not say for sure what will work for you since riders have their own definition of fit.  If you buy a pair and they do not fit I will gladly swap them out provided they are new with tags still attached.  I will also pay your Priority shipping associated with this.  I have good inventory right now on these but I am subject to run out.  If that is the case I will give you a full refund.
